About Align Intelligence

  Align Intelligence was founded by David Wilby to address the legal, ethical and operational challenges that organisations face when using or developing artificial intelligence. 

David is a regulatory compliance Solicitor who trained and worked at a UK ‘Top 100’ law firm advising on a wide range of complex regulatory matters. David’s interest in AI developed when he obtained his master’s degree in law from the University of Bristol with specialisms in corporate governance, information law and a ‘highly original and persuasive’ research dissertation on algorithmic discrimination.

David also has a decade of experience working in the financial, technology and legal sectors in a variety of roles, including operational and project management experience, and he puts this practical knowledge into Align's products and services. As a new consultancy, Align Intelligence brings a fresh, agile approach to tackling the emerging challenges of AI governance.
